Introduction to the Internet:
After having completed this course the student should be able to:
- Know the origin of the Internet.
- Recognize the different browsers and know how to use them.
- Know the three ways to "surf".
- Know their way around the World Wide Web
- Know the difference between web sites with or without frames.
- Know what there is on the Internet and how to find it
a) sounds
b) videos
c) information
d) news etc.
- How to use search engines.
- How to copy text or pictures from the Internet.
- How to print from the Internet.
- What to do and not to do on the Internet, to surf safely.
- How to use E-mail, receive, send, attach a file etc.
- How to use the different chat programs.
- How to surf the Newsgroups.
- How to create and manage favorites or bookmarks.
- How to download files from the Internet and save to a disk or hard drive.
