On Monday October 6, 2003, the Maritime Provinces lost a good friend and fine bluegrass musician.

Fern LeBlanc passed away at home in Moncton, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Although Fern mostly played the banjo with Timberland Express, his passion was the Dobro and would play at any given opportunity.

His family, friends, band members and his many bluegrass fans, throughout the three Maritimes provinces, will sadly miss him.

Fern LeBlanc will still find himself among family and friends, for he is now playing with that great angel bluegrass band in the sky.

There will be only one viewing on Thursday night October 9th from 7 to 9 pm at Cadmans Funeral Home on corner of Alma and St. George Street, Moncton

The funeral will be on Friday morning at 10 am at St Augustin's Church on corner of Dominion Street and Mountain Road.

Noreen (Fern's wife) has asked members of Timberland Express to perform a few songs at the viewing Thursday night, cause that's what fern would have wanted.

For anyone who wants to mail a card to Noreen and family, her address is:

Noreen LeBlanc
175 Snow Avenue

May your grass always be blue.
