Welcome to Local and Regional Bluegrass News

Hello Bluegrass music fans

The Traditional Days Bluegrass Festival is changing it's name to the New Richmond Bluegrass Festival.

The festival will still be held on the grounds of the Gaspesian British Heritage Village on the Bay of Chaleurs in New Richmond (Quebec) on Labour Day weekend (August 31st to September 2nd). The name change was brought about because of the fact that most festival goers refer to it as the New Richmond Bluegrass Festival, so why fight popular opinion.

The festival, which is the first and only bluegrass music festival in Quebec, hosts some of the finest groups from eastern Canada and Maine and is known for great music and the friendly atmosphere that is typical of Gaspesians and of bluegrass fans alike.

Don't forget that rough camping is free with the purchase of a weekend pass (please take note that on site dumping is no longer available). Advance camping is available starting Sunday August 26th at a cost of five (5$) dollars per night.
