Jean "John" Poirier 1948-2005 John B. Poirier, 56, of Moncton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday March 15, 2005. Born in Rogersville, NB on December 11, 1948, he was the son of the late Vital and Elizabeth (Robichaud) Poirier. John spent his adult life driving trucks, working on his numerous projects, and spending time with friends at Tim Horton's. He is survived by his only son, Daniel (Patty) of Moncton; his only daughter, Ginette Poirier (Graham Cove) of Dieppe; a brother, Edgar (Rosella) of Moncton; sisters, Marie-Anne Hachey (Ovila) of Douglastown, NB, Lucie Johnson (Clement) of St. Charles, NB; four grandchildren, Ashley, Alysha, Alex and Travis; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Claudette in 1996. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday, March 17 from 7 to 9 PM and Friday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of departure at 10:30. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Notre Dame De GraceParkton, 854 Mountain Road on Friday, March 18, 2005 at 11:00 AM, Father Maurice Leger officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation of NB, or the Canadian Cancer Society. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
