A Real Champion

It is hard to express, in verbal tongue,
The honor, and esteem that is due.
For one who's life was faithfully run,
With a record so good and true.
And now here tonite we assemble
In honor and memory clear
One who's record will ever be with us
And always will be near
C.H. Champion

Lives of good men will remind us
Of the stalwart way to climb
Friendliness helps much in the struggle,
To win the goal in course of time
It was his strength and upright purpose,
And he supplied it more and more.
And unfailingly did use it
That added much to the good score, of
C.H. Champion

Our world would be richer and better
If more like him we could meet
For friendliness is the gold of life,
And all living need that treat
Now name that will always glisten
And stay in our memory to cheer.
His life a good pattern to follow
And the name that will always be near, Is
C.H. Champion
