A Veteran 1967

In memory of our valiant manhood,
We stand with thouths subdued;
While earthly life is with us,
Their honor we'll renew.

Our thanks to them for victory,
And the freedom we enjoy;
May man learn to live with man,
For conflict Homes destroy.

Crosses mark the resting place,
And in sorrow tears are shed;
While manhood still is living,
They will honor valiant dead.

And thus today and years to come,
With surrounding hearts we pray
That lovely youth, for freedom's cause,
Will not be sent away.

The foe that seeks to crush and kill,
Never will succeed;
For valiant manhood stems the flow
Whenever there is need.

And thus it is, and always will be,
As long as men are born;
Though anguish is the price they pay,
While all the living mourn.
