On May 26, 1936,

Donald Lloyd , the 24 year old son of Mrs. Mary Lloyd of Campbellton., was almost instantly killed when he tried to board a fast moving freight at the Cedar Street crossing. An employee of Eastern Bakeries, he was on his way home from work, with a bundle under each arm, and apparently lost his footing when he tried to board the moving car. A life long resident of Campbellton he was the support of his mother, 2 sisters Irene and Annie and 2 younger brothers Robert and John all of whom survive him.
