Efficiency Brings New Pump To Local Fire-Fighting Unit

Fine Showing Made in Inspection By Brigadier Ross Brings Its Reward.

Recently when Brigadier Ross, head of the A.R.P. in Canada, made an inspection of equipment, personnel and activity of the organization in Campbellton, he expressed himself as so pleased with the general turn-out and efficiency of the Campbellton group that he would see that a new pump was sent here to be used for their work in the community.

The pump has arrived this week and is now at hand for use when needed. It is an up-to-date piece of equipment, a 500-gallon portable pump, mounted on two wheels, driven by a Ford V-8 engine, equipped with two and one-half inch hose and weighing over a ton. It will undoubtedly prove a most valuable addition to the considerable equipment already in use by the Campbellton unit.
