The Northern Enterprise (part six)

        Adams & Firth

Few firms in the town are better known throughout the town and surrouning country than the above named house. The business was originally carried on by Messrs. A. G. Adams and J. D. Sowerby, under the firm name of A.G. Adams & Co., but seven or eight years ago Mr. Sowerby retired his place in the firsm being taken by Mr. D.C. Firth.

The firm carry on an extensive general store business and always keep on of the best assorted stocks in town. They hold alike a large country and town trade and by their careful attention to buying, their uniform and moderate prices, and a large stock always on hand to choose from, they have an enviable reputation throughout this and adjoining county.

In addition to their regular stock of dry goods, groceries, boots and shoes, and other lines generally carried in stock in a general store, they keep on hand one of the largest and best selected stocks of furniture to be found outside of a city store. They also keep a full line of carpets and oil cloths., which will well repay inspection by anyone wishing anything in these lines.
